Shabir Shah urges India to withdraw troops from IHK

Srinagar. October 29 : Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC),and DFP chief Shabir Ahmad Shah has stressed India to pave way for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute by repealing the draconian laws and withdrawing troops from the territory.
Shah addressing a public meeting at Lar in Gandarbal said that India could not prevent the people of Kashmir from their just struggle for securing their right to self-determination through use of brute force.
He said that the international community should intervene and help stop the massacre of Kashmiris and massive human rights violations in the occupied territory. He said that the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspiration was imperative for peace and economic prosperity in the South Asian region.
He further added that Kashmiris had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the cause of Kashmir and would continue their struggle till its logical conclusion.

Shabir Ahmed Shah arrested in Kulgam

Srinagar, October 28 :  Indian police arrested senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabir Ahmad Shah along with his party workers in Pampore, today.
DFP spokesman in Srinagar said that Shabir Shah was on his way to Kulgam where he was scheduled to address a public gathering after Friday prayers.
Mean while party's general secretary mulana Abdulah tari while talking to newsmen said that Kashmiris were steadfast in their pursuit of freedom and would never allow the sacrifices of their martyrs go waste, He said India was constantly trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris through force, but it should remember that people’s aspirations couldn’t be subdued for long. Shabir Shah condoles death of Sheikh Ghulam Qadir in IHK

Srinagar, October 25 : Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah on Tuesday visited Karalapura Machoo and condoled the death of Sheikh Ghulam Qadir, the father of human rights activist, Pervez Imroz.Shah, expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.party general secretary Muhammad Abdullah Tari and Zameer Sheikh were also with shabir shah.

The truth is that nothing of this sort has happened and, in fact, the freedom sentiment of the new generation has only gotten stronger by Delhi’s iron-fist policy.

Shah demanded Repeal of all black laws in IHK

Srinagar, October 22 : Senior AHPC leader,and DFP chief Shabir Ahmad Shah, addressing a public gathering in Rafiabad described the statement as mere a CBM. “If India is serious, then all black laws should be repealed from all cities and villages of the occupied territory,” he added." Revocation of black laws from few areas is just a CBM and should not be misunderstood as solution to the Kashmir dispute,” he added. Shah maintained that before holding talks, India must first ensure revocation of all draconian laws, complete withdrawal of troops, release of all political prisoners and an end to human rights violations. Shah termed the puppet chief minister’s announcement just eyewash. “As long as AFSPA, PSA, Disturbed Areas Act and other black laws are not revoked in total from every part of Kashmir, nothing will change on the ground.All these laws have to be revoked and there should be complete withdrawal of Indian forces,” he stressed. Observance of Oct 27 as black day till Kashmir settlement’ shabir

Srinagar, October 19 : Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and the President of Democratic Freedom party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah has said that the people of Kashmir will continue to observe 27th October as a Black Day till resolution of Kashmir dispute. Shah in Srinagar said that on 27th October 1947, India invaded Jammu and Kashmir while trampling over the principles of the partition of British India and in disregard to the aspirations of the Kashmir people. He said that the people of Kashmir had been rendering unprecedented sacrificed and one day their struggle would bring fruit. He said that the Kashmiris’ sacrifices had globalize Kashmir dispute and the international community was putting pressure on India to resolve the dispute peacefully. Shah said that 27th October would be observed as Black Day to convey a message to the world that the people of Kashmir were struggling for their right to self-determination.

Blood of Kashmiri martyrs will not go waste: Shabir

Srinagar, October 18 : Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabir Ahmad Shah has said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs have raised the Kashmir dispute at international level and their blood will not be allowed to go waste.
Shah paid rich tributes to Advocate Abdul Qadar Sailani on his 16th martyrdom anniversary for his contribution to the cause of Kashmir. He also paid homage to Advocate Jaleel Andrabi.
He said that it was the result of Kashmiris’ sacrifices that the civilised world was putting pressure on India to start negotiations for resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He added that some justice-loving people of India were also calling upon their rulers to initiate meaningful talks for settling the dispute.

Shabir concerned over stepped-up HR violations in IHK

Srinagar, October 16 : Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference and DFP chief Shabir Ahmad Shah, has expressed serious concern over the increasing human rights violations by Indian police and troops in the territory.
In sirinager Shah said, “The mass graves have hit the whole people of Kashmir and the Kashmir dispute has achieved the Bosina like status at the international level..Criticizing Anna Hazare,Shah deplored that Anna Hazare could not summon moral courage to condemn an attack on the Indian Supreme Court’s lawyer, Prashant Bhushan by extremist Hindus in New Delhi. He expressed concern over the stepped-up human rights violations by Indian army and police in the occupied territory and said that discovery of unmarked graves had shocked the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Shah said that Anna Hazare's statement on Kashmir was unrealistic.

DFP chief arrested in Budgam

Srinagar, October 14 : Indian police arrested senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference and the President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmed Shah in Budgam.
Shabir Ahmad Shah was on way to Beerwah when a heavy contingent of police stopped his vehicle and took him into custody.
Taking strong notice of the arrest of Party Chairman, the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party spokesman strongly condemned Shah’s arrest and said that India would not succeed in its efforts to weaken the liberation movement by keeping Shah away from the people. He described the arrests of Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders by Indian army and police as an unwise and imprudent act.

Shah urges UN to play effective role to settle Kashmir issue

Srinagar, October 07 : Senior leader of the All Parties of Hurriyet Conference,and DFP chief Shabir Ahmad Shah, has called upon the international community particularly the United Nations to play an effective role in resolving the Kashmir dispute.Addressing a public gathering in Kupwara, Shabir Shah said that peace in South Asia was linked with resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He said that the world community should play role in settling this lingering dispute as it had done in resolving East Timor and South Sudan issues. He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir were the primary victims to the dispute. However, he maintained that India had failed to suppress the freedom struggle of the people of Kashmir who were determined to take it to its logical end.Shah urged India to sincerely initiate a tripartite dialogue process for resolving the Kashmir dispute. He said that solution of the Kashmir problem would pave way for durable peace and prosperity in the region. He also demanded probe into the unmarked graves through an independent commission.
